Vestibular Assessment

1.5 to 2 hours session includes hearing test (if you haven't had one in the past 6 months), VNG and vHIT, detailed history of symptoms, interpretation of results and management plan. Detailed reports sent to you within a week's time. If your symptoms are related to head trauma, concussion or whiplash please schedule a post-concussion vestibular assessment.


Post-concussion Vestibular Assessment

3 to 4 hours appointment, includes a detailed interview about your symptoms and medical history, diagnostic hearing testing, VNG, vHIT, cervical and ocular VEMPs. Written report will be sent within a week's time, with test results and recommendations for treatment/rehabilitation.

Erica has performed vestibular testing and rehabilitation for 30 years. She had intense training in vestibular assessment and rehabilitation during her 8 years of education to complete her bachelor’s degree, master’s, and clinical specialization in Audiology. She has worked in a variety of settings, including St. Paul’s Hospital (Vancouver), the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital (London, England), and public and private practices in Brazil. She is Clinical Assistant Professor at UBC teaching Audiologists and Physical Therapists, mentor to professionals seeking specialization in the Vestibular field and frequent speaker at conferences raising awareness and sharing knowledge about dizziness, vertigo and balance disorders.
